IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Doreen Stephanie
Cooke
November 8, 1956 – January 17, 2021
Doreen Stephanie Cooke, daughter of the late Durrell R. Shannon and Maxine T. Smith, was born on November 8, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on January 17, 2021 after a brief illness.
She received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools Systems and courses thru Baltimore City Community College.
Doreen held employment with Union Memorial Hospital, Mountain Manor Treatment Center, Marian House, Inc., and The Family Recovery Program, Inc.
She had a magnetic, beautiful personality. She made numerous friends wherever she went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew her. Doreen was devoted to her daughter, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She had a passion for what was called house music, dancing, and modeling. She wore many hats during her time here on earth, but it is the title "A Child of God" that sustained her through the hard times, allowing her to celebrate with you and for you in the good times, and ultimately granted her eternal rest in the Master's arms.
She leaves to mourn her precious memories: One daughter, Rosalind R. Green, and her husband (Larry). Two Grandsons, Quinton Heard & Tychar Johnson, Three Great Grand Children, Quinton, Jr., Charlee & Blair Heard. One Brother, Walter C. Smith (Adarana); Two Sisters, Denise D. McCready (Pinkney), Patricia Brown (Carl), and last but certainly not least, her mother's sole surviving sibling, Calvin L. Tolbert. Her husband, Larry E. Cooke, a brother, Carl T. Smith and sisters, Sharon Whittington and Deborah D. Randolph (whom proceeded her in death). She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces and nephews, her childhood friend Angela (Angie) Riley as well as other family members, friends, and associates too numerous to name.
