Doretha Taylor-McKoy, the dughter of the late frazier and ada taylor, was born on august 15, 1932 in Chester, South Carolina. She departed this life on February 14, 2010 to go home and be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For years she was a faithful member at New Psalmist baptist church, and the last few years of her life she moved her fellowship to New Christ Sent Fellowship Church. she was a christian that loved the Lord. She received her education at chester county High School and later moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she met and married Ovid McKoy, who preceded her in death, doretha was wmployed with Catholic Charities and retired after 30 years of employment. she enjoyed her life to the fullest and everyone that knew her loved hr. she never met a stranger. she enjoyed spending her time traveling and working at her booth at the Flea Market. She was a wonderful mothr, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all, and will be greatly missed. She leaves memories to cherish to Lorraine Lane, Percilla, David and Jeffery McKoy, Robin Hdayes of Baltimore, Mdaaryland, doretha Briggs of Hendersonville, Tennessee, one daughter-in-law, Tonya Benton McKooy Ovid Lebron McKoy preceded her in death; godson, Lonnie Drummond and goddaughter, anita Michele Taylor; two brothers, Odell Tasylor of Baltimmore, Maryland and Robert Tsylor of Richburg, South Carolina; five sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; and a host of other unnamed relatives aned friends.
