DORIS BARNES, daughter of the late James F. Waugh and Flora L. Waugh, was born on August 18,1931 in Baltimore Maryland. She was called horne on December 16,2014. "Doris" was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. She held many positions at various businesses in Baltimore City area including Stockroom Clerk at Hustlers Department Store, Teachers Aide at Mary Bethune Elementary School #140, hairstylist to many relatives and friends, and her favorite was homemaker to her husband and children. For the better part of her life, Doris served as the foundation for her family, coordinating, organizing, and hosting family & holiday events. She was well known in her neighborhood and community for being outgoing and friendly, she always greeted you with a smile, and would always do her best to help those in need. Doris was a devoted Christian and was baptized by the blood of Christ at New Psalmist Baptist Church. Everyone that met Doris knew of her wonderful sense of humor, she would often give you a compliment and then take it right back; her favorite saying was: "Who Loves You Baby" ... WE DO! GOD knew that her race was hard to run, the hill was getting hard to climb and HE called "Doris" home. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Edward H. Barnes and two daughters Jeanette C. Waugh and Nicole L. Barnes. She leaves to mourn: five children Edwin & Anthony Hopkins, Cedric, Beverly, and Warren Waugh, two daughters-n-law Marta & Linda Hopkins, two brothers Nathaniel & Donald Waugh, two sisters Beverly Siler & Linda Randall, one brother-n-law Jerome Siler, sixteen grandchildren, two granddaughters-n-law, eight great-grandchildren, one God-son Lamont Randall Jr., one God-daughter Charlene Stafford, her life-long girlfriend Barbara Rock, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
