Doris Wardella Clash, daughter of the late Walter Robinson and the late Annie Thomas was born September 3, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2014. Doris was educated in the Baltimore City School System-graduating from Douglass High School in 1949. Upon graduation, Doris married the love of her life, the late Clarence Nathaniel Clash, Jr. on August 14, 1949. From this union, they bore six children. Her working career spanned 30 years as Doris was employed with the Hutzler's Department Store, the Social Security Administration and Octavia's Dress Boutique for 10 years each. Doris had an adventurous and daring spirit as she would move into neighborhoods despite potential conflict if she felt the move would lend her children better living and educational opportunities. Doris was also known for her spontaneity-as she would decide-all of a sudden to take her children on an educational excursion or for traveling alone to some unknown destination to make new friends and experience new things. Doris was an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast for many years. She has transitioned to join her family members who preceded her in death- her brothers, Spencer Robinson, Quentin Robinson and Paul Robinson, two of her sons, Clarence Robert Clash and Michael Larry Clash, and two grandchildren, Cindy Brown and Stevie Ray. Doris leaves to cherish her loving memory, one brother, Leon Robinson, one sister-in law, Tracey Robinson, one son, James Wendell Clash, Sr.; three daughters, Jeanette Clash Dunaway, Celestine Clash Chase and Valerie Lynn Clash; two daughters-in-law, Darlene Adams-Clash and Daphne Clash; one son-in-law, Ira Dunaway; eight grandchildren-Kelley Clash, LaVern Stewart, James Clash, Jr, Tiffany Ehoize, Eric Chase, Christopher Clash, Tracey Clash Hamilton and Bryan Parker; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She also leaves two very special and longtime friends- Leah Sands and Charmaine Dukes. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
