Doris L. Henry was born in January 28th, 1938 to the late George A. Lockett and Maud E. Lockett in London, England being one of 14 children. She departed this life on Friday, March 19, 2021.

Doris received her education in the London, England school system. While fulfilling her internship as a seamstress, she met the love of her life, Lloyd Preston Henry, a train operator of MTA, to whom she married in 1959. From this Union they birthed 3 beautiful children, Lloyd Preston Henry Jr., Elaine Patricia Wade, and Maureen Elizabeth Swanson.

Doris lived an outgoing and adventurous life, finding an interest in traveling, skiing, and boating, and most of all shopping

Doris was all about the love of her family, friends, never hesitated to offer a kind word or a shoulder to cry on, both in most cases. She was the woman to be, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Doris will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all that knew her.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Lloyd Preston Henry. She leaves to cherish loving memories: 2 brothers, Billy Lockett and Peter Locket; 1 sister in law, Patricia Kennedy married to Allen Kennedy; 1 brother in law, the Late Anthony Henry; 1 son, Lloyd Preston Henry Jr.; 2 daughters, Maureen Swanson and Elaine Wade; one daughter in-law, Debbie Henry; 2 son in-laws, Maurice Swanson and Peter Wade; 9 grandchildren, Lloyd Preston Henry 3rd, Natalie Henry, Christopher Wade, Nicole Wade, Thomas Hooks, Travis Hooks, the late Ariel Swanson, Lanay Swanson, and Nija Swanson. A total of 16 great grandchildren with 1great-great grandchildand a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and many other relatives and loved ones.
