Obituary

Doris N. Street, daughter of the late James A. Hope, Sr., and the late Gladys Hope, was born on November 13, 1928 in baltimore, Maryland. She entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2010. She received her education in tghe Baltimore City Public School System. She met Melvin Street and was united in marriage for twenty-nine years. She was a homemaker and caregiver. She made sure that the person in need received the necessary care on his or her life safely and with dignity. She made sure that anyone in her care had the basic needs of food, clothing and cleanliness. She also knew how to meet that person's emotional needs without losing sight of her own needs and understood that in order to care for a loved one, you must also care for yourself. She always referred to the little people as her Angels. The Angels watched over, filled her with hope, a feeling of security and knowing that in the time of need they would be there to help. She had a great sense of finding or locating things that were misplaced or lost. She loved Pillar Worship Center where the Bishp Roger A. Johnson is Pastor. She leaves to mourn; her two sons, daniel and Harry Hope; five sisters, Brenda, Shirley deceased, Florine deceased, Maybell deceased, Mildred deceased and six brothers, Reggie, Ronald, Paul, William, Nathaniel deceased and Arthur; and host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
