DOROTHY BROADWAY transitioned peacefully to
glory on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. She is the daughter
of the late John and Beatrice Jackson. She was born on
October 28,1930 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dorothy attended Baltimore City Public Schools
and graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in
Baltimore, Maryland.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late John
Broadway. Through this union, they had one son, Ricky
Broadway.

After her marriage, she met and courted her longtime
companion, the late Charles Rawlings.

Dorothy was a loving and caring homemaker. She had
a passion for taking care of others and was a loving mother
figure to many. She raised her nieces, Wanda Brown and
Joy Conaway as her own daughters.

She had a generous and loving soul. With her bright
personality and fun spirit, it was easy for her to make
friends. She loved to dance and entertain. Dorothy was
dedicated to her family and friends. She was loved and
cherished by all.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosalyn
Jackson and her son, Anthony Jackson.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her precious memories to her
son, Ricky Broadway of Baltimore, MD; two daughters , Joy
Conaway of Baltimore, MD and Wanda Brown of Dallas,
TX; six grandchildren, Anthony Jackson, Dante Jackson,
Rosalyn Broadway, Jamel Broadway, Ra ' Nisha Webb,
Rodney Webb, all of Baltimore, MD and Marcus George,
of Dallas, TX; ten great grandchildren; three sisters,
Christine Rusk, Beverly English, both of Baltimore , MD
and Barbara Walker of North Carolina.; three brothers,
Charles Jackson, John Jackson (Iris) and Wayne Jackson
(Charlene), all of Baltimore, MD; and a host of beloved
relatives and friends.
