Dorothy was the daughter of Fred and Blanche Donaldson. She passed away quietly in her sleep. She diligently fought a battle of multiple complications of heart disease. Dorothy graduated from Forest Park High School in Baltimore. She completed her dream of becoming a Nurse from Towson State University. She worked as a nurse for over 39 years. She retired from Veterans Administration Hospital due to illness on January 31, 2015. She was a loving mother to her beautiful and devoted daughter Deborah Murray. She loved her son-in-law, Ryan Murray. Two grand- children, Ferrell and Kenerah Wall and one great-grand child Amya N. Wall. Dorothy leaves to cherish memory sister Eunice Potts- Donaldson. Three brothers, Fred, William, and Johnny Donaldson. Surrogate brother, Thomas Stevenson (Steve). The love of her life, Milton Garrett, spent endless days and nights providing comfort and love. Also left to rejoice her memories are her best friends, Shirley Rucker, Mary Wise and other numerous friends. Dorothy founded a black business women group. This group consisted of over 25 women with diverse backgrounds to develop support groups and educate the community with various outreach activities. This group was PHENOMENAL WOMEN from concepts of the great author and poet Maya Angelou. Dorothy ( Dot) and "Mommy Dot" by the grandkids, will be truly missed for her unique personality, sense of humor, and helpfulness. Spending time with her family was her #1 priority. Dorothy loved to travel and write poetry. Dorothy loved comedy shows and stage plays. Dorothy loved planning events. Dorothy loved to dance and listen to music.
