Dorothy Dixon daughter of (late) Bettie Caine and the (late) Lester
Caine Sr. was born on January 21, 1937 in Scotland Neck, N.C. She
departed this life on December 22, 2015 after a lengthy illness.
Dorothy relocated to Baltimore, MD an found a passion in the Health
Care Field, later becoming an Registered Nurse for well over 10 years.
She performed a wide variety of job duties during her shifts, caring for
and educating patients about their conditions, as well as establishing
trust with patients and their families.
Dorothea always loved cooking, cooking gave her the freedom that
comes with having no rules to cooking and giving new taste. Cooking,
also inspired her to grow and work in her garden for more healthy
vegetables with her friends.
Dorothy accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age.
Missionary Dixon was a faithful member of True Holiness Apostolic
Church of Jesus Christ where she served as President of the Usher
Board, member and mother of the Board of the Mothers Association,
under Pastor Leach for over 9 years.
Dorothy Dixon leaves to cherish her loving memory: loving husband,
John Dixon; three sons, Norman Ransome Jr., Arthur L. Ransome, and
Linwood E. Ransome; three daughters, Ann Ransome (deceased), Dora
J. Ransome (deceased) and Shirley D. Ransome. Survived by the father
of her children, Norman Ransome Sr.; grandchildren, Antoine, Kavon,
Janie, Myisha, Norman, Joshua, Dennis, Daquay, LaQuata, Lanae,
Shneria, Dora, Denise, Donta, Sierra, Linwood, Timothy, DeShawn and
Daveon; 44 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other
