Obituary

Dorothy Demor-Dorsey, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Spottwood, was born on October 21, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on March 12, 2006 at the University of Maryland Medical Center after a lengthy illness. At an early age Dorothy received Jehovah God as her personal Savior. She was a faithful and active member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Lexington Congregation. She loved to street-witness, and going from door-door was never too much of a sacrifice. Dorothy had enough love for all of the people to whom she witnessed. In March of 1979, Dorothy was bapatized. Dorothy received her education from the Baltimore City Public School System. Her employement career included various positions. ''Mama'' or ''Grandma Dot'' as she was affectionately called by her kids and grandkids was a wonderful and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and friends. Mama loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed witnessing in the name of Jehovah God. She would often frequent the Edmondson Avenue and Fraklintown community of West Baltimore. ''Grandma Dot'' will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Dorothy leaves to cherish her fond memories: four sons; Stanley Dorsey, Kelly Dorsey-Bey, John Baker, and Brian Baker, two daughters; Lavonne Butts and Paula Robinson, one son-in-law; Maurice Butts. Five children preceded her in death; Brenda Dorsey, Gregory , Glen, Veronica and Kimer, 13 grandchildren; Dorothy, Lavon, James, Kevin Tinky, Kenny, Wayne, Danyell, Charles, Renee, Tracey, Keisha and Darrien, 37 Great-Grandchildren. A very close and devoted niece, Louise Wyatts Weezie, and last, but not least, special friend, Jeanetta Hargrove and a host of great-great grand nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Five grandchildren also precedd her in death; Kevin Lous, Gregory, Tracey, Tomar and Stephanie.
