On the day of our Lord, September 10, 2011, our beloved love one, Dorothy e. Lee, Snuk departed this life. she was born on July 24, 1928 in Latta, south Carolina to the late William and Mattie Evans Dorothy received her education in the dillon, soutgh Carolina School System. In 1946, she relocated to Baltimore, Maryland with her late husband, Myzelle Lee and her eldest daughter, Betty. Later this union bore four more daughters, Evelyn, Otenina Tina and twins Martha an Mamie. Doroty worked faithfully until she retired from her position as a Nurse's Assistant at the Church Home and Hospital for more than thirty years. She also worked as a private duty nurse. In 1957, Dorothy jioned Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, pastored by the late Rev. Oscar Stancil. Her love of the Lord was evident in her tireless service and giving of her medical training and the outpouring of God's financial blessings to Mt. Carmel. There she also served as a dedicated member of the Missionary, Flower Circle, Pastor's Aid, Kitchen Committee and the Usher Board. The Mt. Carmel Gospel Chorus was founded by Dorothy out of the love she had for gospel music and singing. Dorothy would often say, "While you're mining my business, I'm ging to take care of my business!" Those left to cherish her fond memories and to celebrate her homegoing; five daughters, Betty Manns, Evelyn Colvin, Oteina Tina Lee, Martha Lee and Mamie Jennings of Baltimore, Maryland; two sons-in-law, Bruce Jennings and Roosevelt Colvin of Baltimore, Maryland; thirteen grandchildren, Vonsetta, Julvon, Gia Harry, Quentin, Cameron, Xavier, Nygel, Makai, Joy, Hope and Skye Antoine: two great-grandchildren, Amani and London; one godson, Jerome; two adopted daughters, Connie Felton David and Rochele Herring Robert; special friends, Ernest and Russell Manns and Jaeda Sibley; and a host of other relatives and loving friends.
