IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy
Easter
July 24, 1938 – April 28, 2019
Dorothy Ann Easter, daughter of the late Joseph and Vera King, was
born on July 24, 1933 in Manning, South Carolina. She departed this life on
April 28, 2019 at home with her family after fighting a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Ann, as she was affectionately known, received her education in
Manning, South Carolina. She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and
loved singing on the choir. She moved to New York in her early 20's where
she had her son Tony Martin, who proceeds her in death. In 1964, she
moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she attended UMBC, became a Nurs-
ing Assistant and later met and married her late Husband William Easter Sr.
Together they conceived 4 more children and one stepdaughter, the late
Brendetta Easter.
Mrs. Ann enjoyed working in her garden, creating works of art, sing-
ing, writing poetry and music. She even wrote the lyrics for "Don't You
Know" sung by Della Reese. Mrs. Ann's home was known in the neighbor-
hood as the "Fun House" because her grandkids never wanted to leave and
neither did their friends. She was well known and loved for her kind words
and gentle spirit. Her giving heart and smart remarks left a mark on plenty
of people, as well as her famously ineffective curse words that she could
never get quite right.
Mrs. Ann leaves to mourn: one daughter; Sonya Easter, three sons;
William "Peanut" Easter, Craig Easter, and Michael Easter, eight grandchil-
. dren; Sean Harrington, Shawndae Moore, Sonia Easter, Crystal Easter,
Stephan Easter, Andrea Easter, Corey Easter, and Makai Easter; eleven
great grandchildren and a host of other family members and
friends.
