Dorothy Louise Miles, daughter of the late Nathan Edwards and Tillie Snowden, was born April 2, 1932 in Harmans, Maryland. She attended school in Queenstown, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She met and married Moses Miles in 1948, and of that union, eleven children were born. David Miles and Virginia Spriggs preceded her in death. After a short illness God's precious Saint went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, January 23, 2008. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker for 60 years. First Lady Miles received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1967. She was a faithful and dedicated servant of the Lord and was ordained to work by her husband's side, and she was faithfully committed to her asssignment unto the Lord. First Lady Miles made numerous friends wherever she went. She will be truly missed by everyone she knew. Jesus said ''Ye are the Light of World,'' and certainly she was truly a light to many on this earth. She was not ashamed to witness the name of Jesus, and she loved praising her God everywhere she fellowshipped, and God truly inhabited her praise. She leaves to mourn her death: her beloved husband who she was so dedicated to, Pastor Moses Miles; four daughters, Mary Hyman, Stella Miles, Tillie Lynn and Julie Miles; five sons, Moses Jr., William, Thomas, and Mark Miles; one brother Weldon Caroll; daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; and a host of grandchildren and a host of relatives and dear friends.
