Dorothy Dix Perry Rice the daughter of Virginia Perry and the late Horace Perry was born on March 29, 1944 in Henderson, North Carolina. She went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2006 after a lenghty illness. She received her education at Eaton Johnson High School in North Carolina. She married Smitty Rice in 1971 and moved to Baltimore, Maryland. Dorothy Rice was a full time custodian for many years. She was a member of New Shiloh Baptist Church. She later met the late Mr. Oscar Littlejohn a dear friend who loved her and helped her taked care of her four wonderful children. Shaquanna,Emmett,Paulette and Johnathan. Dorothy's children was her whole worked. She loved them with all of her heart and she made the best home she could for them, filled with love for them and her great great niece and nephew Aniya Paige and De'Aniya Paige and De'Amonte Thompson. Dorothy Dix Perry Rice Aunt Dot leaves to cherish, in her memory, her Mother Virginia Perry, three brothers; Milton Perry, of Baltimore, William and Robert Perry who proceed her in death; and one siser Janet Williams of Bronx New York; four adoring children: Shaquanna Banks, Emmett Williams, Paulette Thompson, and Johnathan Thompson; two nieces, Melissa Pery and Paulette Williams; one nephew, Ernest Williams; two great great nieces, Aniya Page and Jasmine Rivera and one great nephew De'Amonte Thompson Scooter, one goddaughter, Marquitta Giddiens and her devoted friendAddie Littkejohn, who care for her during her illness and a host of other family and friends.
