Obituary

U.S. Army Veteran Douglas C. Brockenbrough was born to Arnita and

Clinton on January 21, 1955, in Baltimore, MD. Douglas accepted

Christ as his Lord and Savior before being called to his final resting

place on March 18, 2022.

Affectionately known as "Brock" and "Dougie Fresh," he attended

Baltimore City Public Schools, where he excelled in math. His pride

and joy was playing football for City High School and competing in the

annual City vs. Poly game.

Douglas joined the U.S. Army in 1973, specializing in Finance. He was

stationed at Ft. Carson, CO. and lived in Italy for a short time. After

returning to Baltimore, he worked at the Maryland Department of

Corrections and U.S. Coast Guard before retiring.

Douglas loved to laugh, joke, and have fun. It was never a dull

moment around him. He kept you laughing and found humor in life's

ups and downs. He had a "BIG" heart and always wanted to care for

others. He loved to dance, cook, paint, and fix things.

Our hearts will forever grieve his memory as he leaves to mourn his

mother Arnita, soulmate Veronica, and four sons: Anthony,

Christopher, Edward, and Clinton; one daughter: Zoey; one brother:

Robert; four sisters: Arnita, JoAnn, Deborah, and Pamela; two

brothers-in-law: Cliff and William; best friend, William;

grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Douglas

was preceded in death by his father Clinton and two older brothers:

Avon "Apex" and Russell "Chuckie."

Douglas's favorite saying was, "You heard me!" We will continue

hearing you in our hearts and minds. Rest in peace Dougie Fresh!

We will always love and miss you!
