Douglas L. Allison, devoted husband of Paula E. Allison, was born July 8, 1960, to the late Wesley Allison (preceded him in death) and Mozell Allison. Douglas departed this earthly life on March 25, 2015, after a brief illness. And now he is peacefully resting with his heavenly father, Jesus Christ! Douglas was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Prior to completion of High School, he met Paula, his childhood friend and "sweetheart". After a lengthy and treasured relationship, Douglas and Paula were married in Holy Matrimony. From this union God blessed them with a son, Douglas L. Allison, Jr., a daughter, Tasia Nicole' Allison, and also a daughter, Desiree Latrease Towson - Allison. Douglas was baptized at an early age at Second Shiloh Church of Christ Disciples. After leaving there, as an adult, Douglas united and joined the New Lebanon Calvary Baptist Church, under Reverend Willie E. Quick, Jr., Pastor (who took Deacon Douglas Allison under his wings, tutelage and guidance). Douglas was a very devoted and reliable member. During his tenure at the New Lebanon Calvary Baptist Church, he was appointed to the Deacon and Trustee Ministries, and he also joined the Usher Ministry, where he welcomed, marched and smiled as he ushered saints into the House of Worship. His service went above and beyond, as he became the faithful Church van driver, a Deacon who regularly visited the sick and shut in, and "a willing worker". Douglas was gainfully employed at various car dealerships, until he became employed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital- for twenty-seven years. Due to illness, he was unable to continue working and was declared disabled in 2007. Douglas was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. His favorite pass-time was detailing cars, an avid chess player, and fishing and cooking on the grill at family or friends cookouts. Douglas leaves to cherish his precious memories; a loving and devoted wife, Paula (after 28 years of marriage); son, Douglas, Jr.; two daughters, Tasia and Desiree; surviving mother, Mozell Allison-Lambert; three brothers, James (Denise), Elmer (Dorothy), Taron (Cheryl); one sister, Carolyn (Wendell); five grandchildren, William, Jay'Quan, Ta'Khiva, Kha'Niva, and De'Yawntae; son- in-law, Keith; daughter-in-law, Taunya; mother-in-law, Theresa Oliver; three brother-in-Iaws, Samuel, Craig, and James; two sister-in-Iaws, Terri and Carolyn; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Douglas will certainly be missed by those that loved him and knew him! Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
