Dovie L. Evans, daughter of the late Clayton and Mary Evans was born on March 8, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on March 26, 2017.

Dovie received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. Dovie graduated from Southern Senior High School. Dovie then went on to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation "FBI" which she referred to as her Good Government job; where she later retired from after 33 years of service.

She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and shared a special kind of love for family and friends. She especially loved family gatherings mainly Christmas, where she played Santa and handed out gifts.

She leaves to cherish her memory: 4 sisters, Etta Karen Knight, Sheila Wilson (Ronald), Stephanie and Wanda Evans; 1 brother, Clayton Spencer Evans (Leda); brother-in-law, Beau Rice and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and 1 devoted friend, Sheila Thome. Two siblings preceded her in death, sister, Catherine Brown-Rice and brother, Wilbert Abbott.
