Obituary

Earl Milton Shine, was born on February 11, 1937 to the late ed Lee Shine and Mandy Lestr in Dooling, Georgia. he was educated in Belle Glades, Florida Palm Beach County School System, and graduated from Everglades Vocational High E.V.H.. After graduation, he attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland on a Football Scholarship. Earl met his future wife Betty on a blind date. They were married in June of 1965. He and Betty on a blind date. They wre married in June of 1965. He and Betty became members of Trinty Baptist Church in the early seventies. He was very family oriented, always taking time for his girls. He worked hard to support his family. After briefly beinemployedment at Sinai Hospital as a Lab Tech, he went on to become a Physical Therapy Assistant at Montello Hospital where he later retired after more than 256 years of service. Earl's selflessness was not only apparent with family, but also with friends and throughout the community. He was known for mentoring young men, always lending a helping hand and sacrificcially serving others. His heartfor people alowed him to enjoy lifelong friendships developed during childhood and college. His favorite pastime included listening to jazz, blues, dancing, playing cards and especially bowling. Earl was an excellent organizer. He exercisred his organizational skills putting together community and family events. He was a part of the organizational staff ro is class reunions, also writing the by-laws. Earl is survived by his true love Betty Anderson Shine, three daughters, Shamon, Tracey and Gwendolyn; two sons-in-law, Darin Lee and Christopher Puckett; nine grandchildren Deonna, Tasheara, Rochelle, Donovan, Travis, Roderick, Raven-Symone, Gwyneshia, Kristen, and DaeShaun; five great grandsons; five brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and griends. He was precedeceased by his sister Agnes and two brothers, James and Snoot.
