IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earl
Young
June 22, 1961 – September 17, 2018
What a glorious day on June 22, 1961 in Baltimore City, Maryland
when God introduced Earl Young to the world! And at the twinkling
of an eye, God suddenly called Earl to his heavenly home on Monday,
September 17, 2018 to his final resting place to be with Him where
he has now joined, his dear parents the late Earl and Pauline Young.
Earl grew up in Baltimore City, Maryland in a Christian home with his
big sister Sharon and foster parents the late Herman and Viola Smith.
He gained his Christian experience as a young boy and teenager at
Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church. Until his death, Earl still
remained a faithful soldier in the army of the Lord never
compromising his true belief in God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ,
the Savior of the world.
Earl received his formal education through the Baltimore City Public
School System. He attended Carver Sr. High School and graduated in
1979 with his high school diploma. Not long after that he joined the
Navy in 1979. He traveled extensively and served his country for ten
years until his honorable discharge in 1989. While Earl was in the
Navy he studied law. From 1996 until 2011 Earl was married to Lisa
(Beau-champ) Young. He has a loving son Charles, fondly known to
everyone as "CJ".
Earl held several career-oriented jobs. He was a good electrician. He
also worked for ADT Company for many years installing alarm systems.
When he retired from the Navy he still had a strong interest in law
and worked for a law firm for several years and also took classes as
well. He obtained his most recent job in 2012 with Hobart
Service where he held the position of "commercial food equipment
repairman" and excelled well with Hobart during his tenure until his
death. But Earl was always very handy and he could fix just about
anything. He even fixed a drooping ceiling for some good friends
one time and when he finished, the droop was gone and the ceiling
was intact just about as good as new!
Earl was also an avid sports fan especially when it came to football
and baseball. He loved the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.
He also liked to watch golf especially when Tiger Woods was playing. He
could sit with you and talk from politics to anything else. Earl also loved
watching movies. He liked going fishing and would sometimes go with his
neighborhood buddies. Earl wars a very good cook. A few of his specialties
was making crab cakes and grilling asparagus and lamb chops. What a
great aroma for any back yard!
Earl leaves to cherish his memories: his sisters, Sharon Young and Inez
(Edwards) Jacob; brother, Willie Edwards; nephew, Sean Harris; great
nephew and great niece Sean and LaShawn Harris; niece, Danielle Edwards,
his loving son "CJ" and cherished granddaughter Leyah; his aunt, Azeline
Young; three lifelong extended family friends, Larrine, Audrey, and Denise,
a very special friend, Robin Heard, family in St. Ann County, and a host of
other cousins, relatives, good neighborhood buddies and friends.
