Obituary

Early McKinney Johnson, the eldest son of the lane

Pearlie Johnson and Robert Hi Seward, St. was born

on September 4, 1939, in Lunenburg Country, South Hill

Virginia. He departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2022,

after a lengthy illness.

Affectionately known to everyone as

"Buck"

educated in the Virginia Public School System and

attended Lunenburg County High School. Buck accepted

Christ at an early age at Flat Rock Baptist Church in

Mecklenburg County in South Hill. After school, He

became gainfully employed with the Handel Corporation

and Bishop's Farm.

In 1972, Buck moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he

was employed with Proctor & Gamble, then drove trucks

for the Ivan Flight Moving Company. Later, He worked

as a Cement Finisher at Sam Moore & Sons until he

retired. After moving to Baltimore, Buck joined the

Central Baptist Church under the leadership of

Reverend Braxton, he later moved his membership to

Harvest Church & Ministries Church of God In Christ

under the leadership of Pastor Bryan O. Jones.

He enjoyed spending time with this family. Dancing,

riding his bike (even at the age of 78) and being the life

of the party... that was Buck. He had a special bond with

his family members especially his grandkids that he

loved and protected. He was affectionately known

throughout the neighborhood as the Neighborhood

Granddad "Grandfather Buck",

"Black Buck", and the

"Handyman". He was outspoken,

"REAL" and one of a

kind, but especially kindhearted to all.
