Eddie Lee Edmond son of George W. Smarr and Doris L. Watson was born on November 24, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland. He transitioned from labor to reward after a short illness on July 3, 2024.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School Systems. Graduating from Carver Vocational Technical High School with a certificate in Auto Mechanics. He started his career right after high school working at Western Electric for over 20 years, before they closed. The Rouse Company then employed him for the next 10 years, needing a change he applied for employment with the Baltimore County Public School System, where he is was employed for the last 23 years until his recent retirement.
Eddie loved all sports, especially basketball and baseball. He was a dedicated Orioles Fan; rather win or lose they were always his Birds. He enjoyed hand dancing, sketching and loved music of all genres. He worked hard at keeping himself in shape by jogging around the Reservoir and a routine of working out at home.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a young man and continued his personal relationship with the Lord!
Eddie is proceeded in death by his parents: George W. Smarr and Doris Watson, his wife Olivia M. Edmond
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Mechille Shaw, son- in-law David L. Shaw Sr, granddaughter Neveah J. Diggs, 2 grandsons David L. Shaw Jr. and Elijah O. Shaw, 2 great-grandsons Princeton M. Edmond and Xavion A. Coleman, one sister Ella (Sue) Brown, 3 brothers George E. Smarr, Perry Smarr and Raheim Turner. As well as a host of niece's nephews, family and friends.
