IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eddie
Williams
June 8, 1953 – July 29, 2019
Edward William's, affectionately known as Mr. Eddie, was born to Mary
Atkins and Joe Williams on June 8, 1953. He was the brother of the late
Violet Williams. Edward was married to Eunice Williams.
He was a devoted member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics
Anonymous where he was highly respected for his wisdom, and insight
in matters concerning recovery and life as a whole. Thirty-seven years
of uninterrupted clean times speaks volumes to the the stature of man that
he was. Mr. Eddie was very proud of his Homegroup, "Suffer No More,"
and was a trusted servant there for many years.
Mr. Eddie or Fast Eddie (as he was also called by friends) was a kind soul
and would help anyone, in any way, at any time! Edward was educated
in the Virginia school system. A highly intelligent man, Mr. Eddie had
a quick wit and would explain life's mysteries so affluently with idioms,
similes, and paradoxes that would make you laugh, cry and examine
yourself ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
Mr. Eddie loved the Lord and would spend time in Bible study. He was
also a trained tailor and would sew by hand and tailor his own classy
outfits. Mr. Eddie was full of FUN!
. A day with Mr. Eddie was a day filled with laughter and fellowship!!
Providentially, on July 29, 2019, after a lengthy illness, God in his
infinite wisdom called Mr. Eddie to rest.
He leaves to mourn a son, Eddie, Jr, daughter,Trina Williams, a sister,
Mary Williams, an adopted daughter, Dorthea Alexander, a devoted
friend, Samuel Adams, a devoted friend, Donna Palmer, comrades,
Glenn Hackman and Bruce, a loving Sponsorship family including Robin
Brayboy, Carroll and Sandy" Steve, Martin and a host of family and
friends.
We will miss our friend greatly, but there's one thing for certain, and two
things for sure: Edward Williams is in the arms of the Lord and there will
never be another Mr. Eddie.
