Edigar Gakuru Karanja was born to Edith Muhito Karanja and James Karanja Gakuru on Febuary 16th 1981 in Banana Hills, Nairobi, Kenya. He was the only son to his parents. He was a brother to Wanjiru, Gathhoni, Wairimu, Njoki and Wangui. He started school at tigoni primary school, then joined Karuri high school and graduated with his KSCE Certificate. In 2003 he won a Green Card and relocated to Baltimore. He later went to the Red Cross and became a certified Nursing Assistant. He worked as a Certified Nursing assistant at Harford Gardens, Keswick and Roland Park Nursing Homes. He was well loved by his co workers and the patients he cared for. On the morning of 11/6/09, Edigar was found unresponsive at a friend's house and was taken to Bon Secour Hospital where efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccissful and was pronounced dead at 1036 a.m. the cuase of death remains unknown and investigations are continuing at this time. Edigar will be dearly missed his family, friends, workmates and especially his longtime girlfriend Roxanne Downs. A sociable young man, he interacted well with everyone irrespective of age, genderr and race. Edigar we loved you but God loved you most. God gave and God has taken. May you rest in eternal peace.
