Edith P. Hughes was born on January 26, 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland. She transitioned on December 7, 2020 after being blessed with over nine decades of a full life.

Edith was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Frederick Douglas High School.

She was a proud employee of John Hopkins Medical Center where she dedicated over 25 years of service until her retirement.

In 1962, she married her best friend and partner in life, Charles A. Hughes. They were married for 35 years until Charles' passing, in 1997.

Edith loved life. She was warm spirited, fun to be with and she loved watching sports, especially her favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens.
