Edith Queen was born July 19, 1952 to the late Fredrick
Queen and Irene Queen-Spicer in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Fredrick,
Dennis and Tyrone Queen. She also was preceded in death
by her stepfather, Steven Spicer.
Edith received her education in the Baltimore City Public
Schools. She work numerous jobs .
Edith was known as "Tootie" or "Eady" by family and
friends.
Tootie was raised up as a child in the Edmondson Village
Neighborhood and as a teenager moved to the Cherry Hill
Neighborhood where she was well-known.
Tootie loved to dress, have house parties, cook and clean as
well as spend all of her time with her family and friends. She
enjoyed spending special times with her grandchildren. She
also loved playing her Oldies but Goodies and her lottery
numbers all the time.
Edith leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Nicholas
Fletcher; two daughters, Towanda and Monifa Lee; four
sisters, Barbara, Denise, Deborah Queen and Delores Perry;
three brothers-in-law, Lydell Perry, Noland Johnson Sr. and
Randolph Quick; four grandchildren, LaTonya Fletcher,
Aaron Chase Jr., Darious Mellerson and Briasia Blackston;
five great-grandchildren, Craig Tyler, Darryl, Brooklin
Johnson and Camren Mellerson; one sister-in-law, Lynn
Chalk; her best friend, Vanessa Luckett, along with a host
of other relatives and friends.
