Obituary

Edna Mae Joy-Randall , daughter of the late John Brown and
Sally Carlos was born November 3, 1930 in Camden, South Carolina.
She departed this life on March 7,2017 after a lengthy illness.

She received her education in the Camden South Carolina School System
and was also known as Bootsy to many.

After moving to Baltimore, she was employed at Arundel Restaurant and
Naron/Mary Sue Candy Company. She was a hard-working, loyal em-
ployee until she retired.

Edna was a member at the New Psalmist Baptist Church where she
attended for the first time in May 1986 and received the gift of the Holy
Spirit.

Even through her good and bad times she gave God praise. Her famous
words were "Lord have mercy", "God is a good God", and "Oh Lord",
which we at times find ourselves saying.

Edna was loved by many, especially by children; she possessed a genuine
loving spirit that had the effect of drawing people to her. She had a giving
unselfish way about her, always willing to share what she had.

She leaves to mourn: three children, Gloria, Donnie and Debra Joy; two
daughters-in-law, Donna Jones-Joy and Victoria Joy; eight, grandchil-
dren, Deon Manns, Danielle Smith, Myesha Cuffey, Tania Beckett,
Donnie Joy, Kenard Joy Sr., Jenelle Jenkins and Keishan Moore; three
grands-in-law, Tracy Manns, Shalonda and Darrick; 20 grandchildren,
Blessing, Isaiah, Mariah, Kharod, Kelvin Jr., Kyron, Wesley, Kenard Jr.,
Kendred, Kendall, Karniya, Makaila, Donnie Jr., Donnek, Dominique,
Donyae, Donnera, Dasha, Shabria and Da'naish; one great, great grand-
son, Khalil. Also, a host of relatives and friends.

Edna is preceded in death by: husbands, Calvin Joy Sr., William Lester
Richardson and George Randall; son, Calvin Joy Jr.; grandsons, Leon
Williams and Donnie Joy Jr.
