Obituary

Edward Bernard Barksdale, was born on August 29, 1953 to the late Ertha L. Barksdale and Charles A. Barksdale in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Barksdale attended the Baltimore City Public Schools which cumulated at Baltimore City College. Edward, was known as P-Nut to friends and family, spent two years in the United States Army, from which he was honorably discharged. P-Nut attended Commumity College of Baltimore briefly, during which time he also was employed with the Social Security administration. a dedicated employee at Social Security Administration for thirty-one years, P-Nut was an avid sports fan who excelled in softball, football and fishing. P-Nut married Rochelle Evans in 1985; this union producted no kids. P-Nut had a great love for music and tropocial fish. He was an excellent dresser and routinely received compliments for his attire. P-Nut was a very compassionate man, who always went out of his way to help someone in need. A fun -loving person, P-Nut had numerous friends and was an easy person to meet. Before his death, P-Nut made peace with the Lord, and was baptized at his close friend's, Reverend Wendell Speaks, church. P-Nut is survived by his wife, Rochelle Evans Barksdale; son, Mark Lee; two grandchildren, Nayee and Nasser; two step-daughters, Jequette and Chynita; two sisters, Lynda Barksdale and Earlene Starks; two brothers, Charles ''Fox'' Barksdale and Gary ''Jimmy'' Parker; seven nieces, Pat, Donnette, Angela, Esther, Darlene, Felicia and Tierra, two nephews, Kirk and Trenton; two aunts, Maddie and Sterling; two brothers-in-law, Jim Starks and Ed Boggs; two sisters-in-law, the late Pearl Parker and Catherine Barksdale; and a host of other family members and friends.
