Edward A. DeVaughn, son of the late Edward and Mary Elizabeth, was born on August 18, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland. Gable, Vita Blue or Big Baby, as we ofter called him, took hold of his Savior's hand and went to be at rest. He was a warm, kind-hearted person. He was loved and well spoken of by everyone he met. He had a genuine smile and always spoke with a soft, friendly vioce. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and worked at ritchie Highway Car Wash until he became ill at a young age, and he spent many years in hospitals. The Lord blessed Gable to get out of the hospital and live joyfully with his sister Chicken and other family members. He loved to play pool with his buddies in Westport, Cliff, Warren, BJ, Thomas and Willie. Gable leaves to mourn; twin brother, John A. DeVaughn; three sisters, Inita Jones, Armentral P. Cromer and Carolyn C. DeVaughn; seven nephews, James, Richard, Kurt, Darryl, Carton, Brain, and Lamont; eight nieces, Gardenia, Cordelia, Zelda, Gernince, Amanda, Tangiera, Erica and Crystal; three adopted godchildren, Lankin, Rita and Latasia; special great-nephew, Kurt Commander, Jr., special friends, Milton, Joseph Brooks, and Penny Hopkins; a host of great-nieces and nephews, two lifteme friends, Beulah McCain and Gracie Gamble; loving staff and friends of St. Ann's daycare Center
