On Friday, April 22, 2011, the Lord suffered to remove from our midst, Edward Alfred Jones. Edward, affectionately known as "Eddie," was born on March 14, 1961 to the late James and Nancy Ray Jones. Eddie was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, completing his education at Southwestern Senior High School. He furthered his education by attending Loyola University, and the Junior Police Academy. He was employed at Lion Brothers Company for twenty-one years and was a dedicated employee. He was extremely talented especially in the arts, where he was very creative. Eddie had a passion for collecting owls, and he loved traveling. Anyone who knew Eddie also kknew that his favorite entertainer was the original diva, Diana Ross. Eddie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a smile that would light up any room. He was a warm, compassionate and a funny man not to mention a people pleaser. Eddie truly loved his mother and provided unconditional and sacrifical love for her. When her health began to decline he became her full-time caregiver. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ella Thompson. He leaves to mourn; his loving mother, Nancy Jones; three sisters, Rosa White, Sharon Jones and Lisa Wiley; six aunts, Mattie Scott, Maria Fitzhugh, Rose Jones, Beverly Jones, Bernadette Chambers and Brenda Lee Jones; two uncles, Ernest Jones and Lewis Jones; a cousin who was like ahis brother, Alphonso Fritrell; his godson, Andre Adams; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, including two devoted friends, Barbara Melfa and Darrell Pinkney.
