Edward Matthew "Batman" Thomas was born on April 6, 1940, He was suddenly called from labor to reward on May 15, 2014. Eddie was educated in Baltimore City Schools. He worked at Previs Bakery and was a cook for Howard Johnson's for a number of years. Eddie was a fun guy, quiet spoken using his 'Peace' sign and famous phrase, "Merry Christmas". He loved drawing and was a master chess player, which he taught to many friends and family. Uncle Eddie was so much loved by his nieces and nephews. "God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be so, He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me". A golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the Best." He leaves to cherish his memory: Five children: Carolyn, Kim, Edward Jr., Eric and Lamont; eight grandkids and six great- grandkids; two sisters, Mable Johnson and Rebecca Butler, his care- giver and friend brother-in-law Joshua Butler; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends, Viewing Joseph H.
