Edwin Randolph Mickens Jr. was born on September 18,

1951 to the late Mama Odell Thomas. He departed this life

on September 8, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

Edwin grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and received his

education at the Baltimore City Public School System. He

worked for the City of Baltimore for over 20 years.

Edwin was and immaculate dresser always accompanied

with a stylish hat and cane to match. He loved old school

music, dancing, and classic cars. Edwin had a great sense of

humor and was a self-proclaimed know it all on every

subject especially cars.

He had one son, his namesake also known as Meat that he

loved dearly. Edwin was proud of Meat and grateful for

their relationship.

He leaves to cherish his memory his only child Edwin "Meat"

Mickens, three grandchildren James Gilliard, Linnai Gilliard, and

N ajhae Mickens, five great grandchildren, Nile Parents, Seven

Wright, Denem Wright, Kali Gilliard, Kodi Gilliard and a host of

loving family members and friends.
