IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edwina
Jennings
March 17, 1970 – January 7, 2021
EDWINA LOUISE JENNINGS, affectionately known as "Weenie," was born on March 17, 1970. On January 7, 2021, after a hard-won battle, Weenie peacefully transitioned from this earth to her eternal home in heaven.
Weenie was educated in the Baltimore City Parochial Schools, successfully graduating from Towson Catholic High School in 1988.
Under the watchful eyes of her mother Paulette, Weenie learned about the Lord and was baptized in 1971.
Everyone knows that Weenie was an out-going, artistic and creative woman and those qualities showed in her professional endeavors. Weenie received her License as a Nail Technician from the Maryland State Board of Cosmetology and worked many decades at various salons creating designs unlike others.
Due to her love of helping others and through hard work and dedication, Weenie went back to school and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Coppin State College (later, University) in 2003. Her education honed her listening and communication skills, enhancing her business.
Weenie had many passions in life. Some of her favorite pastimes included watching The Food Network and listening to music. She loved to shop, talk to loved ones on the phone, and cook. Some of her favorite meals included chicken, chicken and chicken. She loved to pose for the camera and, everywhere she went, she was always jazzy and dressed to impress. And, at the end of the day, she loved a good ole urban novel.
Weenie joined New Psalmist Baptist Church and immediately joined the Cancer Ministry where she encouraged others. Weenie also joined the Discipleship Class where she graduated in 2020. Thanks to rides by Dionne and Sheronda, she never missed a class.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents, Edward and Paulette Jennings; one sister, Sheryl Jennings; loving niece, Alexis Patterson; six aunts, Margaret, Barbara, Delores, Flora, Yvonne and Rosetta; one uncle, Graham; a great-aunt, Mae; and a host of cousins and friends.
