Elizabeth Grier, was born on November 6, 1926 in Matthews, North Carolina, to the late Will Grier and Nellie Grier. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. after a short illness. She was educated in Matthews, North Carolina and for a short time did domestic work. Sister Grier moved to Baltiore, Maryland in 1945 from Greensboro, North Carolina. While rsiding in Baltimore, she met and married the late Charles Grandy. She was a very cheerful, spirit-filled person. At an early age she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her peronal Savior. In good health she faithfully served as a member of the usher ministry at the Jones Tabernacle Church. She leaves in loving memory: three sisters, Amy Patterson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Lela grier and Mary Hailey both residing in Baltimore, Maryland; her godson, Anthony King; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
