IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth
Stuckey
September 17, 1936 – July 25, 2018
Elizabeth was born to Joe and Julian White (who preceded her
in death) in Williamston, North Carolina, where she attended
school and farmed with her family. Elizabeth moved to Balti-
more with her friend Louise in 1954, in search of work. It was
here that she met and married Roosevelt Stuckey (who preced-
ed her in death). It is with him that she had five beautiful
children Ray (Cheryl), Andre (Kim), Jacquelyn, Patricia (who
preceded her in death), and Linda her youngest.
Elizabeth provided for her family by working in Mrs. Smith
bakery for 20 years. She then moved on to clothing factory,
where she worked until she became a Geriatric Nursing Assis-
tant. She spent the rest of her professional career caring for
others until she retired in 1993.
Elizabeth enjoyed cooking for her family, baking an array of
cakes and pies especially (nut and raisin cakes), sewing dresses
for herself and children and going out in field service. She also
enjoyed trips to the local thrift shops and Wal-Mart, walks to
Pratt Street, picking and planting flowers, and most of all
reading her bible.
On October 15th, 1972 Elizabeth was baptized. This ended a
journey of her seeking what she often referred to as the truth
and began a lifetime of her serving Jehovah God and fulfilling
his purpose. Elizabeth was faithful, committed, and proud of
her service to Jehovah and wanted to share her new found truth
with everyone that she encountered, often offering Bible stud-
ies and magazines, citing scriptures, and praying constantly.
She lived her life entirely devoted to Jehovah God, and it is
because of this devotion that she was the person that we all
knew and love until the very end.
Preceding her in death is her brother Bobby Joe White and
Sister Marie White.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory, her three brothers,
William (Cathy), Eddie (Fairy), Charlie-Ray and her two
sisters, Julia and Joan and one sister in law Artensay.
