On March 15, 2006, Ella Mae Woodard, the beloved daughter of the Late Thomas and Nancy Adams, was called home to be with the Lord. Ella Mae was born July 17, 1923, in Eagle Rock, North Carolina. Educated in the Wake County Public School System in North Carolina, she was the fourth child of thirteen, born to this union. Ella Mae married William Woodard, and of this union was born one son, William, Jr., who preceded her in death, in 1969. She moved to Baltimore, and met Charles Walker. Of this union, two children were born - Constance, and Dwight. She was both Mom and Grandmother to Constance's sons William, Nicklas who preceded her in death, 2001, and Jason whom she helped to raise. Ella Mae loved life. She had a Motherly spirit to all who knew her. Some of the times she enjoyed best was spent playing Pinochle, bingo, or watching wrestling, either at the Civic Center, or on TV. Her favorite saying was ''Nuttin Honey''. She leaves to grieve her , her daughter, Constance; her son Dwight; two sisers, Lela Holloway, from Raleight, NC, and Margaret C. Baines, from Eagle Rock, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
