Eloise Gwendolyn (Sherrod) Preston, daughter of the late Willie Sherrod
and Della (Robinson) Sherrod, was born on November 26, 1933 in Pamalee,
NC. She departed this life after a lengthy illness on August 20, 2016.

She received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and
was primarily a homemaker her entire life and took pride in maintaining
a clean and orderly home. She was married to the late, Robert Preston.

Eloise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and
friend and was affectionately called Momma, Momma Pee-Wee, or
Grandma Pee- Wee by those who knew her. She was a strong woman and
had no problem telling you exactly what she thought or how she felt! Even
so, she had a heart of gold and always went out of her way to help anyone
who needed her. Momma had a natural gift for cooking and loved to see
people enjoy her food so much that she would often sit and watch them
devour every bite with a smile on her face. She was also an avid card
player and could whip anyone in just about any card game - especially
Spades!

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Claudine, Ethel Raye, William,
Edna Mae, Irvin, George, and Louis; and by her children: DeHaven,
Victoria, Alfred b.k.a. Blue, Valerie, Jackie, and Kenneth Sr.

She leaves to mourn, four children: Della, Gwendolyn, Roslyn, and Eric;
one son in law: Anthony Lewis Sr.; one daughter in law: Sheila Stokes;
fifteen .grandchildren: Alfreda (Mackinley), Clifton, Reginald (Marita),
She rwanda (Cyril), Dawn (Antwan Sr.), Kenneth Jr. (Marshell), Keith
(Courtney), Tasha, Anthony Jr., Brandon, Devlin, Kim, Maurice, Linnea
(Raymond), and Angelic (Johnny Jr.); thirty-four Great-grandchildren;
four Great great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
