IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elouise
Cobb

ELOUISE COBB, the daughter of the late Reverend Jesse Thompson and Annie Carrie Brooks-Riley, was born on October 9, 1935 in West Columbia, South Carolina. She slipped into eternal rest on March 18, 2017.
Elouise accepted Christ at an early age at Pennsylvania Avenue A.M.E. Zion Church. She later joined Perkins Square Baptist Church, where she was baptized under the pastorate of the late Reverend Richard H. Ogle, IV; and continued her service during the pastorate of Reverend Dr. Cleveland TA. Mason, 2nd until her passing. Elouise was a loving, dedicated servant of the Frank R. Williams Circle, the Missionary Ministry, and a long-standing member of the United Ushers Ministry of Perkins Square Baptist Church. As an extension of the United Ushers Ministry, Elouise was a member of the Interdenominational Church Ushers Association (ICUA) of Maryland Incorporated.
Elouise was educated in the Baltimore Public School System, graduating from Carver Vocational High School. Upon graduation, Elouise accepted a position with the Baltimore Public School System, where she remained until her retirement, after thirty-three years of service.
On March 30, 1963, Elouise married John William Cobb, [r., who preceded her in death. From this union, they were blessed with three children, Cecil, Valerie and John (Billy).
Elouise was a very warm, fun-loving and caring person to her family and friends. She took pleasure in meeting people wherever she went. She enjoyed entertaining and was known for her cooking. When visiting Elouise, family and friends looked forward to her scrumptious meals, which she prepared with love.
Elouise leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted children, two sons, Cecil Shepherd and John (Billy) Cobb; one daughter, Valerie Cobb-Brown (Maurice); one brother, Melvin Sabb (Celeste); seven grandchildren, Cicily, Lineal, Sameer (Lil Renard), Maurice, Venecia, Marcus and Diamond; ten great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Harris Cobb; one sister-in-law, Lucille Gray; one special aunt, Irene Brooks; a devoted friend, Deacon Sylvia 1. Graves; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
