Emanuel Shivers or "Junior," as he was affectionately known, was born on March 22, 1946, to the late Emanuel Moore Sr. and the late Everline Shivers in Greenville, North Carolina. He was called home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2012. Emanuel was educated in the Pitt County, North Carolina Public School System and relocated to Baltimore, Maryland at an early age. He worked a variety of jobs before becoming a self employed home improvement contractor. He loved electronics and photography and could often be found at the flea market around town purchasing equipment, cameras, phones, and other such items. He also LOVED to talk and often spent time with family and friends being a jokester and telling tall tales. He knew the lord and would often attend services at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Emanuel also had a great fondness for children and enjoyed adventures with his nieces and nephews and cousins. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Kimberly; a very special fiends, Brenda Jones; three sisters; Janet Joyner of Mitchellville, MD, Audrey Lane and Carolyn Hooks of Greenville, NC Phyllis Gardner preceded him in death; a special aunt, Dorothy Shivers of Baltimore, MD. and John Washington of Forestville, MD; and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends. Emanuel was raised in Greenville, NC, after the death of his mother, with his cousins, John Spell, Robert Spell, Jimmie Spell Theresa, Marian Roddick Zack, Lenora Daniels and Mamie Spell who preceded him in death.
