Emerson Fackler Johnson, known to everyone as Skip, lived in Baltimore, Maryland for his entire 62 years. Though he never got the chance to meet his biological parents, he found motherly love with a woman he spoke affectionately of as simply Granny. He had four children with mothers: Cecelia Amos, Cynthia Wilson, Cindy Holley {deceased}, and Doretha Carpenter. He attended Baltimore City College and worked for the Department of Sanitation as a garbage man for a short period before he found his home at Domino Sugar in July of 1974. Unfortunately due to illness he had to end his tour at Domino just short of 40 years, retiring after 39 years of hard work and service in October 2013. Sadly his illness did not allow him to fully enjoy his retirement. He leaves in his wake his brother Bernard Furtado. Four children Darnell Amos, Tavon Johnson, Kiya Johnson, and Emerson D. Johnson. Step-son Daniel Jobes. Seven grandchildren Roderick, Delvasz, Da'Sha, Adrianna, Nathan Darren and Zaire. Long time friends Lynn, Joan, Valerie and Di Di {Doretha}. A niece Tykia. Daughter-in-Law Kendra and Son-in-Law Nathan. Great nieces and nephews and a host of friends and co-workers. Viewing Joseph H. Brown Jr. Funeral Home
