Emily Iris Johnson, born September 10, 1928
deparred this life to be with the Lord after a brier illness on
Saturday, January 15, 2022.
smily was the only beloved child trom the union of the late
(Wepin Jackson and Eunice Jackson, She was born in Bermuda
in St. Nevis. Emily was schooled in Bermuda as well.
Emily moved to the states and met Elleau Henry Johnson.
Their courtship was relatively short, and on June 3, 1959
Elleau and Emily were joined together in holy matrimony.
Elleau was the love of Emily's life, and they were married
more than 46 years. Daughters, Alpha, Diana, and Crystal and
Lisa, Donna, Dionne, Renee, Yvonne, Tyra, Marlene, Lynette,
Tyshia, Toni, Keisha, Terraria, Eugenia and Shanice the home
was always full of fun laughter.
Emily was a seamstress and loved making clothes for her
girls. She created dresses and enjoyed seeing her girls in the
clothes she made for them and others. She loved doing jigsaw
puzzles, and word searches and would spend hours at them;
she would also encourage the girls to help her.
Emily loved God and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at an
early age. She was a member at the Rehoboth Church of God,
under the late Bishop Randolph A. Carr where she had an
active part in helping in the ministry. She was a member of
First United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic) under the late
Dr. Monroe R. Saunders ,Sr. And Dr. Monroe R. Saunders, Jr
later changed to the Transformation Church . In 1993, she
became a member of Maximum Life Christian Church where
Bishop Carroll Johnson, Jr. and Pastor Muriel Johnson served
as spiritual leaders. She remained on the Mother's Board
until 1999, when she followed her nephew, Bishop Marcus
Aaron Johnson, Sr. at New Harvest Ministries, where she
became one of the founding members and served on the
Mother's Board. During the years of 2014-2016, she also
attended Purpose Center Ministries with her daughter Crystal
as well.
As a mother to many, Emily raised her daughters and provided
daycare for families in need. She loved being around children
and enjoyed having a house full of laughter and children playing.

fourteen daughters: Donna Queen (Mark); Dionne Wyatt
(David); Lisa Williams (Stuart); Rence Lewis (Chris); Tyra
Malone; Yvonne Shorts: Marlene Smith; Lynette Witherspoon.
Tushia Oliver: Toni Oliver; Keisha Oliver; Terriea Hiannt;
Eugenia Tait-Brooks; Shaniece Frazier; a host of
grandchildren and great-grands, Four Godchildren-Aunt
Roseanne; Natalie Johnson; Karen Saunders; and WilliamRoberts.
