Emma Ruth Singletary, daughter of the late Jack Ledbetter and Christine
(Broadway) Ledbetter. She was born in Wadesboro, North Carolina on March
8, 1950 and departed this life on January 20, 2016 after fighting a losing battle
with a long time illness.

She was raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she received her education. She
was a true Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan. Emma was a member of the
Second Baptist Church. Most of her life she enjoyed the comfort of raising a
family, providing them with words of wisdom and love that we will always
cherish. She was employed at Key Circle Hospice as a cook for many years until
her illness.

Her children includes three sons: Kevin and Melvin Ledbetter and the late
Joseph Barber and one niece that she treated like a daughter Barbara Rich. Her
heart was filled with so much love which extends beyond her immediate family
members. She opened her home to multiple friends and family as though they
were her own and treated them with the love of God.

Emma leaves to mourn two sons: Kevin and Melvin, and daughter-in-law:
Michelle. Siblings: Genet (sister), Robert (brother) and Jesse (brother), Vince
(brother-in-law) and Priscilla (sister-in-law). Grandchildren: Dante', Melvin Jr,
Brandon, Kevin Jr, Latoya and Richard. Great Grandchildren: Brianna, Richard
Jr, Chanel, Tatianna, Emmanuel, Raven and Amiya. NieceslNephews: Tammy,
Julia, Tony, Antwan, Latisha, Latasha, Christina, Dejanaro, Gerard, Anthony,
Robert Jr, Jesse Jr, Maurice, Keisha, Monica, Kevin Jr, Jenna, her extended
family at Greenspring Dialysis and Rose Lawhorn.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband Earl, Son: Joseph, Neice: Barbara,
