Emmanuel. Melvin Nelson; Sr. was born to the late Milton and Lucille Nelson. on November 6, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland He departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was raised in Baltimore City and educated in the Baltimore City Public School system. He was self-employed as a window washer, carpenter and handyman for most of his life. Emmanuel was a Giver, willing to lend a helping hand, he could. get you what you needed and if he couldn't, he would make it'. He was a Listener, lending an ear when needed and a word of advice that can only father could. give. He was a Supporter; always there for his children. and grandchildren. He was a Hard. worker; sacrificing to provide for his family. He was Caring; carrying the women in the building where he lived. to run errands because he could. not stand to see them on the bus stop and they reminded him of his roving mother, Lucille Nelson. Emmanuel enjoyed tending to his fish and vehicle, a Lincoln Town Car. You could. always catch him giving his Lincoln some tender loving care (wipe down) in a shopping center near you. He enjoyed cooking for his family, his specialties included. homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and fresh fried fish (that he had cleaned. and filet, of course). He is preceded in death; by his mother, Lucille Nelson, father, Milton Nelson, brothers, Keith Joseph Nelson. and 'Ricky Nelson. Left to cerebrate his wife is his; loving wife, 'Betty Nelson; two daughters, Latonya Smith and Shakeena. Nelson; five sons, Robert Leqrand; Maurice and Marvin Hoffman, Emmanuel Melvin. Nelson, Jr. and Nathan Nelson; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, three sisters, Priscilla 'Brooks, Sherry Watson and Leola. Nelsen, two brothers Milton and Terry Nelson. with a host of other family and friends.
