Obituary

Erma Louise King Evans daughter of the late Andrew L. King and
Flossie E. Weems King was born December 3, 1924 in Baltimore,
Maryland. After a lengthy battle with several illnesses, she
departed this life on February 5, 2016.

Erma graduated from The Baltimore City Public School System.
She then graduated from Knox Business School. Upon
graduation Erma started working with The Internal Revenue
Service, there she served the public by dedicating over thirty (30)
years of service. In 1985, she retired.

As a child, Erma accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior,
prior to her illness she was a long standing and dedicated
member of Lewin United Methodist Church. Erma has always
had an enormous and undying love for children and taught
Sunday school at Ames United Methodist Church and Lutherville
united Methodist Church for many years. During her retirement
she volunteered many hours at Callaway Elementary School,
assisting in the classrooms with the children, she also worked
part-time in the offices of doctors and lawyers.

Erma fulfilled her years with many things. Her most accomplished
and rewarding accomplishments were swimming, bowling, and
sewing. She taught many of her young relatives to be excellent
swimmers and her home is filled with many trophies for swimming
and bowling. She won 1st place in the 50 Meter Free Style Event
in 1987 for Seniors.

Erma leaves to celebrate her life her precious children, her son
Joseph B. Evans (Billy), her daughter Maria A. Evans-Eddy, sister
Della King, her brother who preceded her in death, Andre King,
brother Ronald King, grandsons Kieron Evans and Ayrron
Johnson, a special nephew Anthony Smith, grandchildren Tasia,
Mykell, Lalla, and Ayrrihana, nephew Donnie King, niece Carolyn
Hasty, special nieces Kimberly and Tekima, one nephew Clifford
