Obituary

Erma Louise Hunter was born on January 3, 1943 to the late Martha Irma Hunter. Louise, as he was known to everyone, departed this life peacefully and quietly after a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 25, 2011. Louise was born and raised in Littleton, North Carolina where she attended Melver High School. Louise moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1963. she held several jobs until obtaining employment with the City of Baltimore where she was employed for thirty years until she became ill. Louise loved the Lord. She was baptized at Whitestone Baptist Church on April 1, 1979. Whenever she gave you something and you said "Thank You" to her, she would always say, "Don't Thank Me, Thank The good Lord. Louise was a very devoted mother with a big beautiful heart. She did the very best that she knew how. she truly loved everyone and everyone loved her. She fed the neighborhood and would not let anyone go hungry. Whatever she had she would share, even when she did not have much or if it was her her last. She was an amazing woman; through her sickness she never complained. There were times that she could barely breathe or walk, and when asked "How are you feeling today?" she would say, "I am just trying to make it and I thank God for another day"" and not one time did she complain. The following family members preceded her in death; daughter, Deborah Dorothea Hunter, son, Efrem Gerard Hunter; granddaughter, LaShawn Danielle Hunter, mother, Martha Irma Hunter; nephew, Joseph White and cousin, Mollie Hunter. She leaves to cherish her precious memory; daughter, Khadijah A. Ali; sons, James and Larry Hunter; son-in-law, Bilal Ali; daughter-in-law, Terri Hunter; granddaughters, Latonya and Lakeshia Hunter, Tenah Crawford; three grandsons, Bilal and Jamal Ali and James Manson Hunter, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Enijah Hunter, Jayla, Jayen and John Hyman, Jaliya and Omar McGee, Sharde Crawford and Dasha Matthews; sisters, Mary Jefferson, Dorothy Sellers of North Carolina, Pattie M. Rivers of PA., Annie Hunter, Helen Madry and Minnie Hunter; brothers-in-law, Thomas Jefferon of North Carolina and Leroy Rivers of PA., friends, Mary Jones and Marie Starks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
