IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ernest
Worsley
September 30, 1938 – January 6, 2021
Ernest Leonard Worsley, son of the late George and Ethel Worsley was born on September 30, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. After a lengthy illness, Ernest peacefully departed this life on January 6, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Ernest received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System, Graduating from Frederick Douglass High School. After Graduation, Ernest worked for the Social Security Administration, until he was hired at George Worsley & Associates, as a Draftsman. Ernest would later enlist in the United States Army where he served for many years as a medic. Upon being Honorably Discharged in April of 1987, Ernest enrolled at the University of Maryland, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing. Later becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1981, a field, he would work in until his health began to fail.
Ernest was a very private person that had a zest for knowledge and was always in enrolled in some sort of training or certification class. Ernest was a quiet, laid-back type of person; He loved to listen to talk radio or reading a great book, while smoking a cigar. When he was not enriching his mind, Ernest loved to go bowling.
Ernest never worried or complained about anything. In spite of his sickness, he never complained nor did he allow his illness to bring him down. Regardless of how he was feeling, he did not allow his illness to hinder his ability to be independent. Ernest always kept a smile on his face whether or not he was in pain. Even when he was in pain, He would often greet people with a cheerful, "What's Up Doc?"
Ernest was the Eighth child born to George and Ethel; He was preceded in death by siblings, Joseph, Margret, Joyce, Ethel, and Catherine.
Ernest leaves to celebrate his memory, Four Siblings, George Worsley, William Worsley, Jean (Donald) Lane, and Bernice Hall; And a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
