Obituary

ERNESTINE REID LEE was born on November 5, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Henry and Bertha Reid. Ernestine departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2013 after a long illness. She was one of seven children. Purnell Reid, Irma Grant and Henry Reid Jr. preceded her in death. "Teenie", as she was affectionately known, received her formal education in the Baltimore City Public School System. Ernestine dedicated her life to Christ as a young girl when she attended her family's church, Fountain Baptist. She visited Mt. Zion Baptist Church with her nieces over twenty years ago and became a faithful member until her illness. Ernestine was a hard working woman; she held a job at Bugle Laundromat for several years. She later went to work for Mission Helpers Sacred Heart for over ten years. She really enjoyed working there, especially after her niece Irma joined her. Ernestine also loved children and decided to become a Specialized Foster Care Parent. In addition to being a foster parent, she helped raise two of her great-nephews, Alonzo and Shawn; and one great-great-niece, Tyronda. Ernestine met and married the love of her life, Felix Lee (preceded her in death). From this union one child was born, Patrica Ann Lee. Their daughter was the sunshine of her life. Ernestine was a quiet, easy going person that would help anyone. She would do anything for you; let it be a neighbor, friend or stranger, she would help you if you needed help. She spent her fondest years on Druid Hill Avenue, where she resided for over twenty years. Talking and laughing with her neighbors and friends was one of her favorite pastimes. She was also very family oriented and was there whenever her family needed her. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Patricia A. Lee; two sisters, Bessie M. Randolph and Bertha L. Todd; one brother, James Reid; seven nieces, four nephews; a host of great-nieces, -nephews, and cousins. She also leaves to cherish her memory: her niece, Irma Sparrow Felder, whom she was close to and took care of her until her final days. Viewing Joseph H.
