Essie Neal was born October 23, 1934 to Ella and JB Jackson in Norwood, Georgia. She was called home to our Lord, Father God on November 13,2014. Essie, a sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and wife, was a wonderful individual that affected many in her lifetime. Essie was a student at Dunbar High School in Baltimore, MD. She successfully completed her 10th grade year and at the age of 15, was forced to leave when she fell ill with tuberculosis, hospitalizing her for three years. Despite this, she was resilient and strong, eventually finding Charlie, her loving partner and beginning a family. Essie eventually married Charlie Neal in 1959 and was proceeded in death by him in 1976. In the coming years God blessed her with a daughter, Yvonne V. Jackson and a son, Derek Jackson. Our Lord God called home Derek in February 1968 at the age 13. She leaves behind her two sisters, Gladys and Leola, a daughter, Yvonne Davis, her granddaughter Rainah Davis, one great grandson, Amira Davis as well as a host of other loving family members. Essie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, wife and friend. We all will remember her in different beautiful ways for her strength, resourcefulness and kindness. Viewing Joseph H.
