Obituary

Estella Brown the daughter of the late Doctor and Essie Rollins, was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the oldest of six children. Her formal education was in the Baltimore City Public School System. Estella was united in holy matrimony to the late Raymond Brown, who preceded her in death many years age. The wisdom and mercy of Almighty God grants released and rest to His children through the blessing of death when the burden of life are more than the human heart and spirit can endure. In to this peaceful realm, His servant Estella was called home on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, after a brief illness. Estella joined Mt. Pleasant Church under the leadership of Rev. Clifford Johnson. She later moved to St. Paul Community Churh, where she remained a faithful member for many years, under the leadership of Rev. Gregory Perkins. Estella loved her church and did whatever she could to advance its mission and ministry. For many years she was an usher. She was involved in many activities there. She was never blessed with children, but she loved to cook and serve food. Estella also loved to sew. She was an excellent seamtress for many years, since the age of eighteen. She loved several community groups to help in the community, mostly the people with any problems. It has been said that the true greatness of a person cannot be determined by material wealth or power, but by whom that person has touched. She was a spiritual leader and the center of the faamily. She leaves to cherish her memory; three sisters, Gertrude Patterson, Dorthy Pinder and Emma Richardson; one brother, Charles Rollins; many, many nieces and nephews; one adopted godson, Kelvin Johnson; and a host of friends that loved her dearly.
