IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Etha Mae
Scott
December 18, 1946 – July 18, 2024
I was born December 18,1946 to my parents Forrest and Etha Mae Wilson in Baltimore Maryland. On July 18, 2024, my Lord and savior Jesus Christ decided it was my time to enter the pearly white gates of heaven. I really enjoyed music growing up. Music is what kept me in a positive frame of mind. I loved all gospel music especially Shirley Caesar and Yolanda Adams. I also loved Stevie Wonder.
I enjoyed cleaning and cooking to the sound of music filling the room with excite ment. When I was not cooking and cleaning, you could find me snuggled up in my soft blanket watching my favorite TV shows; "The Guiding Light or Young" and "The Rest less". My favorite movie was "Imitation of Life". I know I watched this movie a million times. I also loved "Law in Order: SVU"," Mike & Molly" and anything Tyler Perry.
I was a member of First Mount Olive Freewell Baptist Church and Pennsylvania AME Zion where I served on the usher board. In 1989, after all my children finished school, I started working at Carr Lowery Glass Company and I also worked at Hershey ice cream parlor. Then later, I found my passion as a barmaid. My favorite spot was "The Diamond Subway". I was so naive to the streets when I first started working at the bar. Once a customer asked me, "did I know where he could get a dime bag"? I pulled out my pocketbook and took a dime coin out. I replied, "I do not have
a bag but I can give you a dime". He had such a confusing expression on his face. My co-worker over heard the conversation and busted out laughing. When I asked her what was so damn funny, she told me he was talking about drugs. I did not know but I learned quickly.
Julia Mae Wilson, Lucy Morton, and Lindora Wilson that proceeded me in death. I have two sisters; Bessie Shipley and. Glindora Wilson who are still alive and living. I loved my sisters. Often times, my children could, not understand why I would put my sisters before anyone else. The bond my sisters and I shared was unbreakable. We hung out partying together, we cooked together, we beat people down together, we raised our children together, we spent all of our holidays together, we traveled together and we loved on one another like no one else in the world existed. We even had a. song the family song, "Linda, Glinda Etha Mae, Lucy want you right away". We knew when we heard that song; it was time to get home for dinner. I also had two brothers that I was very close to that proceeded me in death Forrest & Woodrow Wilson.
