Obituary

Ethel Mae Graham, daughter of the late Dora Williams, was bom on January 31, 1935 in Florence, South Carolina. She departed this life on December 30, 2012 at the age of 77 after a lengthy illness. Ethel received her education at Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina. As a young adult, she left Florence and moved to Baltimore, Maryland for better job opportunities. She worked many jobs prior to retirement. She worked as a Kitchen Helper 16yrs, was Self-Employed as a Day-Care Provider lOyrs, a Custodian 4yrs and a Mail Sorter 7yrs. Ethel was never afraid of hard work. She dedicated her life to Christ and was a lifelong faithful member of Leadenhall Baptist Church in Baltimore, Maryland where she served in the Willing Workers Club. She married the late Vernon Graham, Sr. and from this union two children were born, Vernon, Jr. Christopher and Stephanie. Ethel was well loved by her family and friends. She was always willing to share her words of wisdom and quick wit with you. When you asked her how she was doing, she would always reply, "I can't complain." or "I'm holding on." She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Vernon Graham, Sr.; two brothers: Henry & Willie Lee Williams; two sisters: Julia Murray & Rosa Lee Mayden. She leaves to mourn: two children, Vemon C. Graham, Jr. Chauntil; Stephanie Raynae Graham; one stepdaughter, Sheila Stokes; six grandchildren, Shante McNeil, Leslie Hutchinson, Jessica, Delante', Danielle Kelley, Ahlexis; four great-grandchildren, Shatira Williams, Rodney Gantt, Rashad Gantt and McKenzie Dorsey; two sisters, Elease Brown & Mary Stewart Hubert; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams & Martha Graham; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
